Green tea is well known for its various health benefits, specially its antioxidant potential. Green tea is high in polyphenols known as catechins. One of the most powerful catechins is called EGCG or Epigallocatechin gallate. EGCG is a powerful antioxidant that makes up about 70% of the green tea content.
The 100:1 herbal extract in each green tea extract capsule provides at least 90% catechins. The most powerful catechin epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) makes up 70% of that content and may contain more active antioxidants than some vitamins. This potent antioxidant supply ensures that body can fight off the harmful free radicals and prevent the damage. As an antioxidant, green tea may help to protect the liver, the lung, the colon, and the bladder.
