Probiotic-5 from Pure Encapsulations is a dairy free blend of key probiotic bacteria designed to support immune and gastrointestinal health. Each serving delivers 10 billion CFU of the beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium lactis and Bifidobacterium bifidum. This high-strength blend of lactobacilli and bifidobacteria promotes GI tract health and comfort, immune cell function and overall health.
In your digestive tract there's normally a specific balance of both "good" and "bad" bacteria. Bacteria are vital to the health of your digestive tract as well as your immune system. An imbalance in this system can lead to gastrointestinal discomfort and fatigue. Several factors can contribute to this imbalance; the most common are stressand unhealthy diets.
Probiotic-5 formula provides 10 billion CFU of the beneficial bacteria Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus rhamnosus, Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium lactis. These strains have particular health promoting properties for gastrointestinal (GI) and immune health.
L. acidophilus is one of the most common probiotics and has several functions. It's most commonly known for its ability to break down the food you eat; it also helps produce lactic acid that fights against the presence of "bad" bacterium. L. rhamnosus helps G. I tract health and boost your immune system. B. bifidum helps your body synthesize B-complex vitamins as well as reduces the production of histamine a chemical that causes allergic reactions.
B. longum converts sugar into lactic acid and provides additional immune system benefits by reducing constipation as well as discomfort from inflammatory bowel conditions. B. lactis also helps prevent diarrhea and constipation by lowering your risk for colon inflammation.
Probiotic-5 also contains a special form of rice starch that has been extensively tested to increase the viability of the included prebiotic strains.
